Siteground reviews : Pros and Cons from a real user

Today we will analyze Siteground, a web hosting service that has a wide variety of products with different hosting characteristics, which try to cover the different needs according to the project level of each client. Hosting was launched on the market in 2004 by a team of university students. The initial objective was a project to be used within the student residence, but that small project became a company that is becoming more popular every day. Currently it has more than 320,000 domains hosted on servers and approximately 220 employees working in the company.

The technical support and customer service work 24 hours a day and answer around 500 phone calls, 1,500 online chat communications and more than 1,000 tickets per day. As we mentioned the values, you can deduce that you can communicate for support through a Siteground chat in real time, by phone or even place a ticket with your problem.

In terms of security, SiteGround Hosting has a customized system that is configured to detect any activity that is suspicious and that tries to attack the sites, in order to prevent and eliminate the threat. Each client’s hosting accounts are separated to increase security and around 30 backup copies are made to protect daily information.

To increase the quality towards its customers, from the reviews we have to mention that Site Ground has one of the fastest loading speeds of sites that can be found in the market, they incorporate different tools that allow it, such as a fully optimized software , CDN, cache, etc.

Best Web Hosting Providers On A Budget

Best Web Hosting Providers

THE BEST WEB HOSTING IN 2020 IS FAST, SECURE, RELIABLE, AND HAS CUSTOMER SUPPORT THAT CAN COMPLETELY SUPPORT YOU.

Want to jump straight to the answer? The best web hosting provider for most people is definitely Bluehost.

Web hosting services come in all shapes and sizes.

Shared hosting, dedicated hosting, VPS, managed hosting, server cores, different RAM, CDNs, SSL certificates. It’s endless.

We’ve managed hundreds of websites ourselves over our careers. Using our first-hand experience, we waded through all the hosting options and narrowed it down to the best web hosting providers.

Read in-depth reviews of these below — plus, tips for saving money, the best types of hosting for different situations, and our method for picking the right web host.

The Top 3 Best Web Hosting Providers

#1. Bluehost – Best Web Host for Beginners

 Normally $7.99/month
 Free domain and SSL certificate
 Recommended by WordPress
 30-day money back guarantee
 Get a 63% discount

Bluehost is one of the most popular and best choices for web hosting.

They’ve been around a long time, offer great hosting at a great price, and have a great reputation for supporting their customers.

If you get stuck or have a problem, they have 24/7 support by phone or live chat. No hoops to jump through either. They list their support number and live chat options right on their site, you can reach it within two clicks.

They also offer fantastic analytics and SEO tools to help you optimize your site’s performance—while attracting more visitors.

Their SEO tool that scores and tracks how well your website is ranking for specific keywords. This gives you a good idea of how you should optimize your site for the best search rankings.

They also offer hosting that will support whatever direction your business grows.

Let’s say you start with a standard shared hosting plan and want to install WordPress. They have an easy 1-click install to make that happen. Then if your site keeps growing and you want to upgrade to managed WordPress hosting to speed up your site and improve security, they have that too. Or if you want to get more control by upgrading to VPS or dedicated hosting, they have plans for both.

The point is that Bluehost covers everything you could possibly need from a host. That’s what makes them the best for beginner website creators.

If you start with them, you’ll never need to switch to someone else.

#2. Hostgator – Best Scalability for Price

 Normally $6.95/month
 Month-to-month at $10.95
 Free domain and SSL certificate
 45-day money back guarantee
 Get a 61% discount

HostGator is another web host that caters to small businesses.

They’re also a bit of a mixed bag.

While HostGator does have an extensive how-to guides for technical support, it doesn’t offer any sort of email support — just phone and live chat. So be prepared to get on the phone whenever you have a question.

Unlike some hosts, Hostgator does include support in all its plans. If you want a hosting plan that’s cheap and includes support, this is the host for you.

HostGator does offer Windows hosting in addition to Linux, as well as a variety of options to upgrade, including cloud hosting, VPS hosting, managed WordPress, and a dedicated server. Shared hosting plans start at $2.75/month.

Hostgator Review Pricing Plans

HostGator tends to rank highly on tech publications like PCMag, but customer reviews are pretty dreadful: it has only one star on Trustpilot. If you’re interested in trying HostGator, I recommend taking full advantage of the 45-day money-back guarantee and testing out their support thoroughly before committing.

#3. SiteGround – Best Customer Service

 Normally $11.95/month
Free SSL, email, CDN, & backups
 Recommended by WordPress
 30 day money back guarantee
 Get a 67% discount

SiteGround comes with two things a lot of web hosts don’t: a rabid fan base and glowing reviews.

SiteGround Hosting Reviews

Their reputation is stellar. Along with DreamHost and Bluehost, SiteGround is one of WordPress’s three recommended web hosts. WordPress hosting is built into all of its shared hosting plans, you’ll get automatic updates, streamlined security, and expert technical support.

Where they really shine is their shared web hosting. SiteGround’s servers are ultra-fast and extra secure, and they are constantly deploying new updates to keep them that way.

Their highest tier plan (GoGeek) is suped up with tools developers will find especially useful, including a staging server and Git repo creation. Lots of small business and personal websites will probably find this overkill, but if your needs are more complex than the basics, SiteGround has a lot to love.

There is one downside. Once you blow through SiteGround’s introductory pricing, your plan’s price will triple.

For example, its lowest tier of shared hosting jumps from $4/month to $12 and its highest tier jumps from $12/month to $35. That doesn’t feel great.

In fact, it was the reason for most of the one-star reviews on TrustPilot. Watch for this when you’re comparing pricing and remember that your hosting plan will last a lot longer than the promotional period.

SiteGround Renewal Prices

SiteGround also has the shortest trial period of all our other shared hosting our top picks: only 30 days. This isn’t a major problem though. You’ll be able to easily evaluate any host within a month.

SiteGround does have cloud hosting and dedicated servers. In fact, SiteGround is one of our top picks for cloud hosting. If you think there’s a chance you’ll need to upgrade to some serious hosting power once you generate lots of traffic, SiteGround is a great option that will make upgrades easy later.

SiteGround’s customer support is available 24/7 across all channels — phone, chat, and email — and its knowledge base is rich and well-organized.

SiteGround also has the most transparent uptime: it has a 99.9% annual uptime guarantee (or you get a month of hosting free) and posts both its annual average and the previous month’s uptime right on its site.

SiteGround Uptime

SiteGround’s annual uptime compared to last month’s.

SiteGround is an amazing option for businesses with room to grow. There’s plenty of upgrades to support you along the way.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020) review did the macbook pro 13 worth your money

Apple announced on Monday the launch of a new 13-inch MacBook Pro with updated 10th-generation processors for high-end machines and new magic scissor-switch keyboards across the line.

We picked one to see what's new and how it compares to other machines in Apple's laptop line.  Read on to see what we think and if it's worth buying.

Design-wise, the 13-inch ‌MacBook Pro‌ 2020 looks identical to the 2019 model because Apple has made no external changes with the exception of the new keyboard.  It still uses the same 13.3-inch chassis, which is disappointing as there were rumors of a switch to an updated 14.1-inch design.

That 14.1-inch .1MacBook Pro‌ might still arrive at some point in the future, but for now, Apple continues to sell the same older 13.3-inch model alongside the 16-inch ‌MacBook Pro‌.

We bought the base model machine, which means that it is still using Intel's 8th gen processors.  The high-end 13-inch ‌MacBook Pro‌ models that start at $ 1,799 have faster and newer 10th-generation processors.

Based on benchmarks, the $ 1,799 ‌MacBook Pro‌ with a 10th Gen 2.0GHz Intel Core i5 chip is about 16.5 percent faster than the $ 1,299 base model we have here, which features a Core i5 processor.  eighth-generation 1.4GHz quad-core.

Apple added support for up to 32GB of RAM and a 4TB SSD in the 2020MacBook Pro‌ 2020 update, but again, those features are limited to the more expensive machines.  The base model can only be upgraded to 16GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD.

Basically, what is new in the base model ‌MacBook Pro‌ is the keyboard.  It now features the same Magic Keyboard that Apple first introduced on the 16-inch ‌MacBook Pro‌.  The Magic Keyboard uses scissor-style switches instead of the old butterfly-style switches, which were notoriously unreliable and unpopular with users.

Apple's butterfly keyboards led to the start of a massive repair program, and although Apple tried time and again to fix the butterfly keyboard with different band aid methods, nothing worked, and the only way to get a more reliable keyboard  was to go back to the scissor switch design.

The Magic Keyboard on the 13-inch ‌MacBook Pro‌ should be much more reliable than previous model keyboards that still had butterfly switches.  With the launch of the 13-inch ‌MacBook Pro‌, Apple has officially removed the butterfly keyboard from its entire line of notebooks.

Design-wise, the Magic Keyboard features a physical escape key and inverted T arrow keys, but continues to feature a Touch Bar and Touch ID for biometric authentication.  When it comes to feel, the Magic Keyboard isn't too far removed from the butterfly keyboard you're replacing with good key travel and solid under-finger feel.

It's worth noting that higher-end BookMacBook Pro‌ models with four Thunderbolt 3 ports can now support the 6K Pro Display XDR, but lower-end models with just two Thunderbolt 3 ports are limited to a 5K or two 4K display.

Unless you're planning to pay at least $ 1,799 for a new 13-inch ‌MacBook Pro‌, this update is somewhat of a disappointment because the cheaper and lower-end models get nothing but a revamped keyboard design.  With a starting price of $ 1,799 and up to $ 3,500 for upgrades, some users might be better off looking at one of the 16-inch ‌MacBook Pro‌ models unless size is a concern.

Those interested in the portability and low-end specs of the more affordable ‌MacBook Pro‌ will want to take a good look at the MacBook Air, which may be a better value.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Review, Redefining Premium Quality With An Impressive Camera

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is everything. It offers all the “ultra” features anyone could want and even outrageously more. Go for a brutal setup. While the phone boasts an impressive screen, fast performance, and powerful cameras, the price is so high that it can give you more of a scare

A phone that debuts a surname that is a declaration of intent on the part of the manufacturer to want to demonstrate the latest in technology within the S family.

In this review I will tell you about my experience with the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra . What I liked and what I didn’t like about the phone.

    Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra: Design

The phone is huge. As it bears its name, it is ULTRA huge. And heavy. Justified, perhaps, for all that it brings, but I sincerely hope that they get here with the issue of size and phone screens. Although in general there are no problems with the handling of the phone, in the end you get used to it, there have been times when it has bothered. And not only because of the size but also because of the huge module it has for its four-camera system.

The telephoto lens, square at the bottom, is only next to an inscription that reminds that the digital zoom reaches 100x. We already know that Samsung wants to accentuate this feature, but was it necessary in this way?

The finish is glass, fine and elegant but it makes it easy to slip a lot. It is recommended to use a case or case, although here is a success because the case comes with the phone.

We already see that it is large and now let’s see the weight. It weighs horrors reaching 220 grams. This is due to its finish, the two Gorilla Glas crystals that mount the screen and the 5000 mAh battery.

At the edges, which are 7.8 millimeters, we find the device’s volume and lock key on the right side, on the top is a microphone and the tray for the chip and microSD card; and at the bottom, we see one of the speakers, a microphone and the USB type C port for data transfer, charging the device and to connect the headphones, since it does not incorporate the 3.mm Jack.

    Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra: Display

As its name suggests, Samsung gave the Galaxy S20 Ultra a 6.9-inch ULTRA Dynamic AMOLED Infinity O display with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels . It has the novelty of a refresh rate of 120hz, however, having the device in its maximum resolution and its best refresh rate is not possible, since when modifying it to 120hz, the resolution of the screen drops to Full HD, that is 2400 x 108. If you want the maximum resolution, the refresh rate will be 60 hz.

This AMOLED panel looks amazingly good, with a jaw-dropping contrast and brightness. The experience is very good at the level of viewing content of any kind.

On the sides of the screen we already find the bored that Samsung has accustomed us from the S10, however they are less pronounced than its predecessor, improving the level of viewing angles.

    Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra: Cameras

And we come to what becomes one of the most important aspects of this phone, the cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with a four-camera system, which is why we have a large module on the rear. On the one hand, we have the main camera, a 108 megapixel angle, a 12 megapixel ultra wide angle, and, finally, the 48 megapixel telephoto lens. Oh, and don’t forget the ToF depth camera, which is the fourth camera, but without much impact.

On the front we find a well hidden hole and thank you for doing it this way. I was already tired of the notch, the notches or front designs that covered almost the entire upper part of a screen. Having a little hole is not bad at all. Here we find a 40 megapixel sensor. Yes, 40 megapixel selfies.

In general, the front camera gives very good results with very good photos. Loss of quality when light is scarce, but within normal limits.

Let’s go back to the star of this movie, the main camera. Or rather, the 4 main cameras. The main sensor, the 108 megapixel sensor, is a beast. Few phones reach this megapixel number, but surely more will come. The idea behind this sensor is twofold; first allow more light and second, offer incredible detail. It is thanks to this sensor that the S20 Ultra gives us very good results in low light environments. There is noise, yes, as in any phone camera, but it is minimal.

Most shots during the day look almost perfect. The only problem I noticed was the white balance, which occasionally got too warm.

I really liked the wide angle result. The photos are amazing.

Let’s talk about the zoom that is one of the Galaxy S20 Ultra’s calling cards and that, because of this, we have a large camera module on the back of the phone. Samsung says the phone is capable of 100x zoom. Technically it’s very true and it can be fun to watch, but are we really going to take photos at 100x zoom? The result is a photo with too much noise. You get to see the object, but it is not something you are going to do every day.

However, a zoom of 10x or up to 15x, and even 30x, maybe yes and the result is quite good

On the video issue, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra can capture up to 8K. And again, is it really going to do us any good? Unless you have an 8K TV, you will not be able to enjoy it and let’s face it, with the fair we can buy a 4K TV.

Now, going to what we can do and what we can enjoy, the video I recorded looks amazing. It is sharp, colorful, properly exposed and with good white balance. Personally I think that, at the video level, Samsung does a good job with their phones and we can see it with this S20 Ultra.

The video also supports live or bokeh focus mode. Like still images, use the ToF camera to help judge depth and create a portrait effect when capturing video. It is not perfect, but it can add an attractive look to your video.

    Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra: Performance

If you want your phone to be the best and present it as the best, you must nurture it with the best. Samsung is not wrong to give it a fast engine with fuel to withstand everything you are going to do with the phone. If you’re going to spend the fortune it is worth, make it worth it.

Let’s see inside. The S20 Ultra brings a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 accompanied by a 12GB RAM.

The phone feels fast all the time. No matter what you do, what you see, the S20 Ultra performed smoothly, with no lags. Only when I used full resolution did I feel a slight slowdown. Still, you still enjoy working on the phone.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra has a 5,000 mAh battery. Its younger siblings, the S20 and S20 Plus have 4000 and 4500 mAh batteries, respectively. The biggest phone should have the biggest battery and Samsung claims it will have two days of battery life. Sure … this depends on how you use it. At most it lasted a day and not much longer, which is already somewhat satisfactory considering the screen turned on, social networks, games, about 3 or 4 work meetings per zoom, among other things.

    Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra: Conclusion

The million dollar question here is, is it worth spending so much money for a phone? The answer to the question you already know what it is: It depends.

I’m not going to lie to you, it is a delight to work with this phone. Its great camera, screen, performance, and battery, but the price may scare many along with its massive size and weight. It may bring the best features and it will surely make it into the top 5 best phones of the year, but it also brings things that you might not be using like 100x zoom or 8K video recording.

Yes, it is true, with the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, the S20 Ultra 5G should drop in price. But just a little.

I recommend it? Absolutely, and not only for the quality of the shots, but also for the functionality it offers.
